i agree and disagree with Graybeard.i agree with him because it is a taboo for his clan and he should follow what his clan believes .i disagree with Graybeard because its Tao's passion and he should do what he believes.
it was true for those times but now everyone can draw whenever they want.

An important theme in this novel is that people should follow their dreams and do what they believe is right, even if they don't follow their society's expected ways.
The author examines this theme in a stone age setting. Imagine a similar situation today, where a person's desires go against society's expectations

1. Even if Ram had succeeded in hunting the deer, do you think it was a good idea of Tao's to "show off" his dog's ability to hunt? Explain.
I don't think it was a good idea for Tao to show his dogs ability to hunt because Volt still hates wolf dogs so he would still try to kill Ram. I think it would have been better if he had just left everything alone.
2. Predict what will happen next. If you've read ahead, invent an alternate scene.
If i had read ahead i think Volt and his men would have gotten Tao and would have been mad and would have yelled at him. Then when they left Tao would have called Ram to come back.

Wow! What a chapter! What was your reaction? Tense? Surprised? You predicted it? Write a paragraph describing your reaction.
My reaction was "OH MY GOD!" but I kind of predicted it. I kind of predicted it because you kind of sense that he is his dad. I also sensed he was his dad because i think in chapter sixteen its says that Volt saw him but didn't say anything. In a way I was still surprised because at the end when Tao says "YOU ARE MY FATHER" Volt says "YOU ARE A MAN NOW YOU DON'T NEED A FATHER ANYMORE" now that was COOL. In addition i was surprised because when Tao was on the floor Volt got out and started waving his hands. I really liked reading this chapter and book it was the best.

Why does Tao feel he needs to go to the Mountain People?
Tao feels he has to go to the mountain people to prove himself.
The story I read was Eleven it was written by Sandra Cisneros. It talks about a girl named Rachel who has to keep a red, stretched-out, stinky, dirty sweater. The part that is unfair that its not even hers. In this story Rachel is credible.
The first reason why Rachel is credible is because she makes a little situation into a big problem. Like for example other kids might make the same big deal out of it. This makes her credible because all kids do this. Girls might say " OMG! My hair is all frizzy i can't go to school like this." If your talking about a guy he might say "DAMN I'm out of gel I got to go buy more before school starts.
Another reason why Rachel is credible is because she feels like a doll, that she is many different ages.

Becky Essay
The story I read was Becky and the Wheels-and-Brake Boys. This story was written by James Berry. The story is about a girl named Becky who really wants a bike, but can’t get one until the end. Becky is a credible character. She is a credible character because of what she feels, says, and does. One reason why Becky is believable is because she wants to fit in with the other children.For example, Becky thinks, “I only want to be with Nat, Aldo, Jimmy, and Ben.” They all have bikes and she wants one too, so she can ride and play with them.This proves that Becky is credible because lots of people have a time when they want something that will help them fit in with other kids. Becky is credible because she keeps begging her mom. Kids always beg their parents for something they want. Becky says to her self.“Over and over I told my mom I wanted a bike.” A while later she tells her mother, “I still want to have a bike really badly.” In order to get what she wants, Becky thinks she has to ask several times and give reasons for how she feels towards the item. This shows Becky is believable because almost many kids love begging for things until they get them. Another reason why Becky is credible is because she fights and makes up with her friend. Children always fight with their friends and make up the next day or week, but either way they do. As an example Becky thinks, “For the first time me and Shirnette had a real fight, because of what I hated most.” Shirnette wanted to get back at Becky because Becky had put a centipede up her shirt, so she got even by putting a cockroach in Becky’s blouse. This proves that Becky is a realistic character. In conclusion, Becky, the main character in “Becky and the Wheels-and-Brake Boys,” is believable because of her emotions, her words, and her actions. That means that she is your average child.
